Situated on the ourskirts of Pretoria, Rosemary Hill offers an extraordinary journey where nature’s embrace, wholesome delights, and the spirit of community converge to create an experience like no other. Amidst the sprawling beauty of the farm, visitors find a space to breathe, unwind & create cherished memories.

For this short urban walk, we will be doing the 5km walk, but there is also an 11km routes available for those who don’t just want to get their feet wet. The trails are fairly flat and comprise mostly of single track with some jeep track and occasional paved areas. The routes are laid out as a tour through the farm and they have introduced some man-made obstacles to keep things interesting. Perfect for taking the dogs for some exercise or a stroll through the farm with your children! Please remember to keep your doggies on a leash at all times and kindly pick up after them.

The Rosemary Hill Coffee Shop offers a cosy atmosphere and a variety of freshly brewed beverages and delicious meals for after the walk.

Getting there:

Directions from Pretoria:

• Travel east on the N4 towards Emalahleni (previously the Witbank highway)
• Pass the Solomon Mahlangu offramp (previously Hans Strydom) and take the next off-ramp (exit 18) towards Boschkop/Donkerhoek. There is a toll gate here.
• Turn right and continue over the bridge, onto the dirt road (R964) for 1,5km. The dirt road is maintained by the government but please be aware that it washes away if we get heavy rains. If you have a 4×4 or a vehicle with a higher ground clearance, it is recommended that you travel with that.
• Rosemary Hill is on the right—you will see the big green sign!
