The Phaladingwe hiking trail is situated at Africaland close to Hartbeespoort. It has a 7.8km moderately challenging trail starting at the Preller House that takes just over two hours to complete. The route is clearly marked with white arrows, and features great views, pleasant and testing hills. The first half of the trail has ample shade and incredible views, while the last half of the trail has no shade and the elevation gain will test your lungs and the strength of your legs. At times the trail gets slippery with loose rocks.

Visitors are not allowed to bring food or alcohol onto the premises (except for water and hike snacks), but there is a little restaurant that sells burgers and chips (R95), chicken prego (R95) and vegetarian friendly salad rolls (R55). We are also welcome to enjoy the swimming pool.

Please note that this is a cash only facility with no ATM or card machine, therefore you need to bring enough cash for the hike fee, the club fee and lunch if you choose to stay after the hike.
