This trail is an adventure not just a hike. Nadia’s Peak is situated on a nature estate at the foot of the Magaliesberg mountains close to Hartbeespoort Dam. It is in the heart of the bushveld with beautiful trees, bird life and animals.        

We will be hiking the Red Trial, which is 10.4 km long with a good elevation, ensuring a good workout and rewarding views.

There are braai facilities and a swimming pool for after the hike. Please bring your own food, drinks, charcoal and braai utensils.

Getting there:

Please Note: If you are using a GPS, it is advisable to take printed direction also.

Out of Africa Lodge, R104 Old Rustenburg road, Zandfontein, Hartbeespoort (Out of Africa Lodge on Google Maps)

Take the R512 towards Hartbeespoort. At the T-junction, turn left. After Pecanwood Estates, turn right and drive over the Hartbeespoort dam bridge. Continue straight. Exit the road at the offramp and turn left. At the T-junction turn right and look for the Out of Africa Lodge entrance on the left side.

MEET:

Meet at the lapa at 07h00. We start hiking at 07h30.

REQUIREMENTS:

Good hiking shoes, hat, sun block, at least 2lt of water, snacks. 

LUNCH

Braai lunch, There are braai facilities and a swimming pool – remember your Charcoal and fire lighters

DIFFICULTY RATING

10.4 km moderately challenging hike, or two shorter trails.

ENTRANCE FEE:

R50 per person (payable to the venue). Please bring your R20 club fee.
It is best to bring cash, as the small establishments do not always have card facilities.

NO NO’S:

No radios or pets. Sorry. No claims against the club for loss/death or injury. Your participation is voluntary. Take care. No littering, we leave only fairy footprints!
