This beautiful farm is located in a private nature reserve along the Hennops River and features mountain terrain, grasslands and river frontage. The area is situated in the Crocodile River Reserve which is part of the Magaliesberg Biosphere, and has been categorised as a critically important and irreplaceable biodiversity area.

There are a few different options to choose from starting with a short (there and back 4 km) hiking trail along the last stretch of the Hennops River to a 6 km medium trail and an advanced (12 km) hike which explores both the river and mountain. A map will be provided.

After the hike, there will be a braai in the lapa. Please bring your own food, braai utensils and charcoal.

There are some very specific rules for this venue:

  1. NO SMOKING on the trails as the area has been classified as having a high risk for veld fires
  2. Do not pick any plants
  3. Do not disturb the wildlife
  4. No littering – we take only pictures and leave only fairy footprints.
