This 16ha nature reserve on the outskirts of Houghton is set against lovely koppies with well-developed indigenous gardens. Paths ramble across the hillsides with views of the city from various sides, mixing urban life with local vegetation. With running waterfalls and fountains, it provides a gentle respite from the nearby inner city suburbs. At the peak of The Wilds is a sundial that marks a wonderful city skyline view.

Take Joe Slovo Drive from the inner city or Houghton Drive from the north. we will meet at the car park. If the car park is full you can park at St Johns School and walk accross.

Bring a hat, water bottle and good shoes. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash
